On my first trip to Costa Rica I traveled around the south eastern half of the country along the Pacific Coast, Talamanca mountain range & Central Valley. After 6 days I almost left Costa Rica never to return. Being a saleman and making conversation in the parking lot at the San Jose International Airport, I was directed to Guanacaste and the North Pacific beaches along the Gulf of Papagayo. Arriving Playas del Coco in the evening, I asked where I could get a cold beer on the beach. 10 minutes later I just knew I would live and sell Real Estate in this area one day. It was friendly and tranquila. Over the next few years Guanacaste & The Gulf of Papagayo just became more inviting. There truly are few things that the area and it's people leave to be desired. I just love seeing the horses with their riders all dressed up at the rodeos, or a world class ocean view in Playa Hermosa over looking the Peninsula Papagayo. And the people on the beach each night taking in a sun, it really is a paradise lifestyle.

I was born into the trucking business in Canada. My parents were Dutch immigrants. Years later I became a Real Estate professional, volunteered to be the President of the Chamber of Commerce in Bracebridge, Ontario, became an Ontario New Home Registered Builder, gained many realtors designations including Senior Specialist, Certified Buyers Rep, etc. In 2008 I joined the Remax 100% Club and in 2013 received my Global Realtor designation on a trip to Tamarindo C. R. being voted by the class as "The Realtor that loves Costa Rica the most".
Costa Rica
I had always wanted to live in a different country, just for some new adventure. In 2014 Costa Rica became home. It has been on adventure. I spent a little time in San Jose, Became a Costa Rican citizen (Tico), Then to Playas del Coco, the area I spent so much time on vacation, and joined the great team at Remax. Working together at Remax Ocean Village, Prestige Ocean and Tres Amigos just came naturally. Since then. Those 3 offices have become Tres Amigos Realty Group. As such you may find a mix of older videos etc containing some outdated branding on this website and my Youtube channel.
