This quiet beach is only 20 minutes from Liberia International Airport on Culebra Bay, Playa Panama serves up one of the best spots in Papagayo to swim, suntan and other water sports. Across from the Four seasons, the Arnold Palmer designed golf course and Marina Papagayo’s deep sea port, Playa Panama is a growing beach. Still a little shy on amenities, the beach does have a couple good restaurants and other fine dining including Restaurant Abbocato. The gentle tide is ideal for kids making Playa Panama family escape.
This once isolated beach is now home to resorts that dot the Gulf of Papagayo with quick access to Hermosa Beach and Playas del Coco are a mere minutes drive away on a paved road.
There are numerous national parks in the region including the famous Rincon de la Vieja National Park (Parque Nacional Rincon de la Vieja), Palo Verde National Park (Parque Nacional Palo Verde).
